Brief overview of the Course

This program is specifically designed to cater to those with no or limited experience within the resources sector. It will allow you to develop skills and knowledge to work on Coal Mines in Queensland. Ensure you check this induction is in line with site requirements for the mines you intend to work. May not be suitable for BMA coal mines. Standard 11 Surface & Underground program will include the following units: RIICOM201D: Communicate in the workplace RIIGOV201D: Comply with site work processes/procedures RIIWHS201D: Work safely and follow OHS policeis and procedures RIIRIS201D: Conduct local risk control RIIERR205D: Apply initial response first aid RIIERR302E: Respond to local emergencies and incidents RIIERR203D: Escape from hazardous situations unaided (underground only) These units are required to meet Recognised Standard 11.

Please be at the course 15 minutes prior to commencement of course at 8.00 am.

Admission after the course has commenced will be left to Management’s Discretion.

A 100% fee will be charged for non-attendance if less than 24 hours or no notice is given in writing.

Parking

Parking is in Brickworks Crt (Off Glenella Road) Do Not Park in Fursden Street.)

There are meal breaks at 10.00 am and 12:00 pm (subject to change). Mobile Food Van available for cash purchases.

USI:

Ensure you bring photo ID and your USI code with you on the day.

Individuals and contractors should confirm induction requirements with the site they will be working on before attending an induction to ensure the process aligns with site processes and is recognised by site.

This induction program may not be suitable for those who intend to work on a BMA coal mine.

Participants must complete and return a Site Verification Workbook before receiving the Statement of Attainment
