This program is specifically designed to cater to the Coal Mining Industry new comers with little experience in the resources sector. You will gain valuable information and knowledge on the Coal Mining Industry in Queensland. Please ensure you check with the sites you intend on working as some mining companies such as BMA have a different induction program requirement. Units of competency covered in this program include: RIICOM201D: Communicate in the workplace RIIGOV201D: Comply with site work processes/procedures RIIWHS201D: Work safely and follow OHS policeis and procedures RIIRIS201D: Conduct local risk control RIIERR205D: Apply initial response first aid RIIERR302E: Respond to local emergencies and incidents These units are required to meet Recognised Standard 11.

Venue:

12 Fursden Street, Glenella.

Please be at the course 15 minutes prior to commencement of course at 8.00 am. Admission after the course has commenced will be left to Management’s Discretion. A 100% fee will be charged for non-attendance if less than 24 hours or no notice is given in writing.

Please bring a drivers licence or similar photo identification.

There are meal breaks at 10.00 am and 12:00 pm (subject to change).

Parking:

Free off Street Parking in Brickworks Court off Glenella Road.

Individuals and contractors should confirm induction requirements with the site they will be working on before attending an induction to ensure the process aligns with site processes and is recognised by site.

This program may not suit those working on a BMA coal mine.

Participants must complete and return a Site Verification Workbook within 6 months before receiving the Statement of Attainment.
